"You down with OPP? Yeah, you know me."

This is my new blog to appreciate the poetry and lyricism of those with a greater capacity for writing good poetry and lyrics than I do... which is most people, so stay tuned and I'm sure you'll see your own words here before too long.

I listen to so much music in my life, that every day I get at least one meaningful phrase in my mind from a song. So predictably, most of these entries will be song lyrics.

And now the fun part, well... the midly amusing part, at least: You tell me who the artist or poet is (including the actual name of the songwriter) and where it's from (song name, album, book, etc...), and you get your very own mediocre poetry (maybe even a song) about your awesomeness composed by me.

The plan is to present a new lyric/verse every week on Sunday or Monday and have a correct answer posted as a comment by one of y'all before week end. The next entry will include my poetic dedication to the winner and a breif explanation of the meaning of the song or poem to me. Followed, of course, by the next challenge.

This will likely only be fun if people participate, [and let's face it... you all have google, how hard can it be?] so participate. First entry on Sunday.
